What is TipsYou?

TipsYou is a free cashless tipping app via QR Code, designed for service professionals in France and 30+ countries. The concept is simple: allow customers to leave a tip by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay by scanning a QR code — no app download required for the customer.

How it works

Free registration: create your profile (name, photo) and connect your bank account via Stripe for identity verification.
Unique QR Code: each user gets a personalized QR code to display at their workstation.
Customer scans and pays: the customer scans the code, chooses an amount, and pays in seconds via Apple Pay, Google Pay or card.

Individual mode vs Team mode

In individual mode, tips go directly to the professional's personal wallet. No establishment or third party involved.

In team mode, a shared pool collects tips. The team leader distributes the pool equally among selected members. When the pool is disabled, customers can tip the team or a specific member directly. When the pool is enabled, customers can only contribute to the team wallet.

Pricing and fees

Registration and use are 100% free. No monthly subscription. A 5% commission is charged by TipsYou on each tip (minimum €0.15), plus standard Stripe transaction fees. Customers can choose to cover these fees. All fees are displayed transparently.

Transfers

Bank transfers are processed by Stripe and typically arrive within 2-3 business days. Up to €10,000 per transfer. Email verification required.

Google Reviews redirection

After each tip, customers are invited to leave a Google review. The QR code combines tipping, reviews, and digital menu access.
